Day 1: San Pedro de Atacama – Villa Mar
Transfer from San Pedro de Atacama to the border crossing of Hito Cajón, heading to the neighboring country of Bolivia. Departure from Hito Cajón heading to the Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) on the foothills of the Licancabur Volcano, crossing the Dalí Valley and the Thermal Waters of Chalviri.
We are going to the Sol de Mañana Geysers to watch the stunning colors of the hot mud. We will follow the way to the Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon) enjoying an excursion throughout the surrounding of this lagoon where we will be able to watch the famous James Flamencos (flamingos), unique of this specie in the world. Moreover, we will see the change of colors in the lagoon, getting its characteristic red color that gives it its name.
We will continue to the Villa Mar town.
Accommodation at the Mallku Cueva Hotel.
Lunch / Dinner.
Day 2: Villa Mar – Uyuni – Colchani
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today we will enjoy a visit to Tomás Lakhas Fortress and Valle de las Rocas (Rock Valley).
Transfer to Uyuni, visiting, on the way, Culpina K and San Cristóbal towns, and the trains’ graveyard. Arrival in the city of Uyuni, where we will enjoy a short tour through the city, continuing to Colchani. Arrival and accommodation at the exclusive Palacio de Sal Hotel, the first in the world made entirely of salt.
After dinner, we will enjoy a night walk in the surrounding, seeing one of the regarded pristine skies in the world.
Day 3: Colchani – Uyuni Salt Flat
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to the Great Uyuni Salt Flat, throughout the Colchani town, where we will be able to watch a salt processing plant. We will continue our trip to observe the stream and places where salt is extracted. We will head to the Incahuasi Island (known as Isla Pescado – Fish Island) where we will see the famous Giant Cactus. We continue to the Pucará de Ayque, on the hillside of the Thunupa Volcano, a place where to see its Pre-Columbian ruins and mummies.
Transfer to Uyuni and accommodation at the Jardines de Uyuni Hotel.
Lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Uyuni – Hito Cajón – San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Hito Cajón Border Crossing and then to San Pedro de Atacama.
End of the services.
